Install and get started

Windows: Run the installer and follow the setup instructions.

macOS: Open the DMG and drag Sonote into Applications. If macOS cannot verify the developer, check the download source and checksum first. If you trust this download, you can allow this app in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Linux: Allow the downloaded AppImage to run as a program in its file properties. Debian / Ubuntu users can also choose the deb package. System audio recording requires PulseAudio or pipewire-pulse and pulseaudio-utils.

Grant microphone access when requested and obtain consent from participants before recording. Mobile installers are not publicly available yet.
